importing from Links2

importing from Links2
I have Links Suite III and a trial copy of LinkPhantom (their new links retrieval program made by the same comapany). These programs allow you to spider pages for links and converts the output into GT Links 2.0 format. It generates these files:

links.db, url.db, categories.db, linksid.txt, and categoryid.txt.

What is the best way to import these files into LinksSQL2 without overwriting my existing database??

I import regional RDF files from DMOZ with absolutely no problems using % perl nph-import.cgi ..... What command do I use to import these files? I'm just interested in importing the links into an existing "New" category within LinksSQL2 directory and then moving them to their appropriate categories from the New category through Admin Browse.

Thanks in advance!

Anyone out there have a clue on this one? Can I use nph-import.cgi to import these links without overwriting the data in my existing db? If so, how?

Thanks in advance.

If you have these files, then yes, it seems you may be able to import using nph-import.cgi, but you better may use the admin interface for import.
In Admin/Database/Tools - Import-Export/ there is an option named Clear Tables.
If you do not check this option the tables will be not cleared.

I have no experience what will the importer do, if finds duplicate links.
I recommend anyway to do a test import on a test copy of your database (test LSQL install).

I doubt, that you can import to a specific "New" category. For this you would need anyway a separate importer script.
