We are going to be exporting our catalog in an excel sheet for other purposes outside of Links SQL. What I wanted to know is if there is a way to have fileds that can be filled out in the admin that go into the database but are hidden on the actual website.

If you remove the tags in the templates (link.html and detailed.html), then they won't show up on the end-user's side.
