This was discussed with Alex few months ago.

How to prevent the submission of dublicate URl's?

Alex's suggestios was to change the Url value in the Links table to unique .

That never worked everytime I change it the system will override the change..

There were several users with the same problem and I do not remember a solution and could not find the thread..

does anyone have an idea..?

The system (you mean Links SQL?) can't override it as it is set in the sql database so Links SQL won't change that unless you tell it to in the table definition editor.

I have tried the table definition editor, and PHP admin and still links SQL will override it back to non unique..
