Can somone tell me how category specific templates work? If I have to template sets ie) Luna1 and Luna2 can I assign each set to a category? I want each category to have different style pages on all of the pages, ie home, links, etc. Is that possible or are category templates just for one particular page?

you can do that by adding: &t=luna1 or &t=luna2 at the end of the URL. This is the template set and the "t" is already reserved parameter that is preserved when jumping from page to page...

There is a category specific template field in Admin/Browser.
There you can set the name of the category template, like
cat_template1.html
or
cat_template2.html

You can also specify a template set name (any name that doesn't have a . in it will be treated as a template set name).
