So why should it build Detailed "N" number of times.?
It was understandable if the Detailed directory was Down to respective Categories.

Actually, as long as the detailed page rebuilds in each category if you have changes, this is a good feature.

By generating a separate page in each category, the "bread crumb" trail will go to the correct category trail based on how the user got there.

I'd hope you would leave it in, or offer it as an option.

It's actually doing it because with 3.0.0, you can put detailed pages in their own directories (based on category), so now if you put a link in multiple categories, it will get built multiple times (each one going into the respective category's directory). However, when you're just building using old behaviour (the default), then it will end up just building the same page multiple times.
