Hello

I am merging two sites into mine and I have about 800 users to import..

I have their e-mail and name so i am using the Import utility withing the Users table:

Password|Email|Status|ReceiveMail|Newsletter

changeme|someemail@domain.com|Registered|Yes|Yes

And I am getting : Invalid format for username: [undefined]

Is there a way to Auto generate the usernames so I can generate the users names then give them the option to change them later?

I would just tweak your export to export the Username column as the persons email address.

What I mean is export:

Username|Password|Email|Status|ReceiveMail|Newsletter
someemail@domain.com|changeme|someemail@domain.com|Registered|Yes|Yes

i.e. repeat the column twice.

That will work but it will get me back to where i do not wanna be..

You see i can have a list of 1000 e-mails.in a <P> separated format.

I can easily add the:

|changeme| before the e-mail and the :

|Registered|Yes|Yes after the e-mail to all of them by repace order.

But if I will add the e-mail as a Username that means going through the 1000 e-mails to do it..

What i am trying to know if there is a way to make the Username field Auto generated during the import then change it back to the old way.
