Template set available...

This is kind of a new concept (not sure if people have done this before, at least not to my knowledge). I have made up a complete template set for people. Each set will be $75, which is far cheaper than you would get an decent designer to do it for Wink

.

The first (only, at the moment) template set includes;

+ Several globals to help you manage the site easily without having to edit the templates all the time.
+ Quite a nice design, probably will suite country/county/area websites best).
+ All templates have been designed for this set.
+ Works in page.cgi (not page.php)

Well, there isn't much more to do than let you look at it Tongue

If the sales of this first set are successful, I will definatly look at doing some more sets, for page.php too Smile

Thanks...I'm hoping it will be a success....took me over 10 hours to do all the templates for just one set... Frown

I have some more templates beign designed as we speak, so if this is a success I will get working on them later this week (need a little rest first from making templates Tongue

Hi Andy,

Nice work.

I did notice one thing though. On certain pages the data gets too close to the table edge.

Example: http://207.230.62.131/~dumps/templates/page.cgi?g=Cool%2F&d=1

If you could buffer the edges with 3 to 5 it would clean it up real nicely.

Other than that the nav on the right with the generated content on the left is unique and looks sharp. Nice colors, easy to use.

You should sell a few of these for sure.

I understand. Anyone who has done a whole template set I am sure can sympathise. Anyone wanting this, will save themselves a LOT of work.

Not that you wouldnt have already thought about it:

  in front of category title and link tag.

Try a table in a table and make the inner table run at 98 percent. That will give you a 1 percent buffer and will not hurt the outside table demensions. Spacing the cell will push out on it for sure but if you push in rather than out it will just hold it all together like a push up bra from Victorias Secret. Tongue

OOps, sorry I forgot a couple things...

Inner table:

Run at 98% cenetered. That is a 1% buffer per side
Don't put a height on the inner table either.

MMm..I'm wondering how I change this part:

Home : Games : Conventions : Australia

on the cool page...its not in the subcategory.html template...so I'm assuming it is a variable called in the script. It should be modifiable via global, but I'm not sure what the variable name is! Frown

Are you wondering how to indent the Home : Games : Conventions : Australia ? Can't you just wrap the tag in the indent? &nbsp<%tag%> ?

If not its not hard to make the global which makes this tag anyways Wink

I think there is a similar tag in the resource section under globals.

But it may not be worth the effort just to do a simple indent.
