To delete a template, is all I need to do is delete it physically from FTP ? Is there no problem with "compiled" template or data in the database since the delete is done from outside linksql ?

Hmmm... I don't know what will happen if it's called and a compiled version exists, but the original does not.

If you really want to delete a template, you should delete it from the template directory, the local directory and the compiled directory. you might need to use fileman to do that on a Unix system, due to file permissions.
