I just tried adding a few test URLs to my directory so I could figure out why it is sending blank emails to myself and link owners and I noticed that you can submit the following URL's and add.cgi accepts them as being valid...

http://.com

How would I stop people from being able to submit URLs like this?

There is no way to stop it completely as people can always put in junk that matches your pattern.
