Why not install LINKS SQL in the other server, then simply reference the built pages from the different server?

BTW: There are many competent female Perl programmers out there...we are not all men or gentlemen. Wink

How about transferring the built pages to the other server using FTP.

The Problem is that I cannot install a SQl server in the other machine. e to tranferir the archives of the static pages saw ftp is not a good alternative therefore wants to generate the pages through cron. He was thinking about installing the Links in the two machines and using the data base of the other machine to generate the static pages, but I would have that to have Perl installed in the other server also and I do not want the Perl installed in this server.

Hi,

If the machines are on your own local network, you could use NFS to network mount the drive on the html machine. That way your application server can build the pages to an html server.

Alternatively, it should be fairly easy to setup a script that will tar up the pages, ftp the single tar file, and untar them on the html machine.

Cheers,

Alex
