I'm using links sql 2.1.1 and never been upgrade since long time ago, lately is too much spammer add their link using add.cgi, is it any way to fix this like banned some email or filter the description without url submission ?

I would recommend you to upgrade your GLinks Install.

• Use Capthca Plugin that is made available by RGB World, Inc. It should solve a lot of spam issue that might be caused by automated software.
• Andy have a beautiful plugin called Block Domains Pro, that can be 'very helpful' to you too.

Hi,

This is possibly the cheapest way to stop a majority (if not all) of your spam:

http://www.ultranerds.com/...ns/Add_RandImage_L4/

It makes a random image, like:



This means they have to enter the random charachters correctly, before it will let them add their listing.
