How to make search of numbers from a min up to a max?
I make so: search.cgi?query=&Date_year=1954&Date_year=1955&Date_year=1956
How to make if I want to find from 1954 up to 2003?

As Paul said, use lt and gt. For example;

search.cgi?query=&Date_year=1954&Date_year=1955&Date_year=1956

would translate to;

search.cgi?query=&Date_year-gt=1953&Date_year-lt=1957
