Hi there...



Is there any way to optimize the speed of the searching? I bought the SQL version of Links a few years ago because of MySQL figuring the search speeds would be reallly fast. On 100,000 links it is very fast and I have been quite happy.



Now, I'm working with 2.3 million links on a new website (modified DMOZ mirror) and the search times are upwards of 5-7 seconds. I moved the SQL portion onto a dedicated box and this helped but I'm still trying to cut this down to 1 second or so.



Any thoughts?

Have you considered using INTERNAL INDEXING? (have a search on the forum for more information). Basically, it indexes your data for you, which greatly improves search speeds.
