Search Dificulty
After upgrading to the lastest version Version: 2.1.2 my search appears to be having difficulty locating terms that I know are there.

I replaced the search with a different one temporarily until I can get this fixed.

Is there a way to get the search back to locating all the terms and keywords, etc...

Which search method are you using? Internal or?

Try repaing the tables and rebuid the search in both cases...

I must admit repairing the tables and search was the first thing I did.

I happened to look at my search logs and noticed an extrememly high 0 terms found. So I tested it out example Terazzo.. I know there are numerous pages concering this term. So I typed in the search Painting Terazzo and ended up with 0 result. But if I typed only Terazzo then the pages showed??

Internal ?? The search that came with the program.

I changed it from NONINDEX to Internal, now I get the craziest result I have ever seen.

Example:

Painting Terrazzo:
Apparel : WomansWear Then I typed in:
Terrazzo Painting:
No Matching Links.

Since both requests asked for the word Terrazzo surely you would think the pages concerining Terrazzo would show up? Mine is not working that way.

hi,

I tried:
http://www.ssan.com/cgi-bin/links/search.cgi?query=designs

Which seems to work... I am still quite sure that you need to reindex your search

How is your search_build_order set? score?

The search Order is "score"

I am on my 2nd re-index just to be safe and the results are as in the previous message crazy.

Can you recommend a better search order?

Thank you for your help.

Thank you for all your help.

And changing the weights its coming out a bit better than before.

Thank you for all your help

did you set search weight in the links proporties? (re-index is required if you change it)

If no value in the weight the field will not be searched...
