SSI
Hi,

I've seen a few ssi posts but none directly to how I would like to use it. I haven't quite figured how it can call everything *.shtml yet in a build so not even sure if I can.

I want to call in text into a page based on the category name. So I want to call in <%Name%>.txt in much the same way that <%includes%> does the business.

I tried to create several text files in various locations but to no avail.

I don't really want them to be in the includes folder which pulls out of my cgi-bin folder.

Is it possible to assigna path to what could be includes1 so I could call

<%includes1% %Names%.txt>

rgds

Kevin

I don't use SSI so can't help on exactly how to use it - but to change to *.shtml just go to setup->Build Options and you'll find the extensions.

I think you can use something like <%if category eq name%> Content <%endif%>

Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

I think it is (in category.html);

<%if Short_Name eq "CategoryName"%>do something<%endif%>

Not tested, but that sounds about right.
