How do I open an exported links file?
hi

I recently exported via LINKS SQL Admin a back up copy of the links db. I now can't open this downloaded with excell, so I guess I need to open it some other way. The file is around 4 megs. Any suggestions welcome on how to open it - as I wish to extract info for transfer to a flat file database I am building.

Anyway, if you want to "open" the file, you will need to use a text editor like Text Pad or EditPlus (that can handle large file sizes). OR you can simply IMPORT the .db exported flat file from LINKS SQL into an Excel spreadsheet or into an Access Database...You will need to use | (pipes) as your delimiter when you import the file into either Excel or Access...
