Would it be possible to add a new tag to the Template module, that would allow embedded comments? Right now, you can't do things like '#' and '' pairs can cause other problems with HTML.
Something like a set of tags: <%% %%> where anything in the middle is just stripped out. Or maybe <%! !%>
As the templates get more complex, it would be really nice to have a way to put comments into the templates, especially for distributed modules like plug-ins where some guidence would help.
