One of the members of this forum is a spammer.

I can't remember his username but I am tracing it now and I have his website address and email and the name of his ISP (which won't be his ISP for much longer).

ALEX PLEASE BLOCK THIS PERSON FROM THE FORUM - I will publically post all his website/email/personal details.

He added 13,844 emails to my email database.

HE HAS ALSO HAD THE CHEEK TO ASK SOMEONE FROM THIS FORUM TO MODIFY LINKS2 FOR HIM ALSO.

Can someone tell me how he did this as I have @db_referers set to only allow submissions from the exact URL of add.cgi

I know he is a member of this forum because he posted a message about modification work here which I replied to and then he contacted me about work, and he basically sent me an email today telling me that he had got a different "programmer" to do the work for him.

He sent me an email asking me how much it would cost to advertise in my newsletter and he asked how many subscribers I had, in the hope that I would go to my email database and see how much spam he had added.

He then sent an email about 30 mins ago telling me to recheck my subscribers because he "thought" I had a few more subscribers than that....and guess what...when I looked again my db had grown from a few hundred subscribers to 13,488.

Well Im taking serious action now...(against him) and security for my site.

Im not gonna give the secrets aways as yet as it will enable people to figure out how to get around it, although I dont think it can be got around.........
