I am using Version 2.1.2 on our live website, but am using 2.2.0 on test website. Today when I was doing the link verify and link check on the new version, I got tons of errors. For example


Error 1
In Version 2.1.2 I got below message
Checked 73 - Success (302). Message: Found, but data resides under different URL (add a /)

But for 2.2.0 I got below message
Checked 73 - http://www.url.com - Request Failed (-4) Message: Could not connect

Error 2
I got below error in 2.2.0 version while everything in the version 2.1.2 works normally.

Error 3
While doing the checks in 2.2.0 I am getting tons of messages like below, while everything in 2.1.2 runs normally.
Stack Trace - Missing URL - Request Failed (unresolvable)
Checked =============================16 - Missing URL - Request Failed (-4) Message: Could not connect

Error 4
Also below lines of error messages

Can someone please tell me what is going on over here or how to correct this? Cuz I am little scared for making the upgrade from 2.1.2 to 2.2.0, especially with all these errors.

No I am still doing few more test and working on adding few more features on test site and then hoping to implement all the stuff on new site. :)

About the bug.. it seems like everything is fixed now.. And what I would recommend you to do would is, download a fresh copy of Links SQL from GT website and do a upgrade or fresh install.

Cuz it is working just find for me :)

Actually i would wait for long as many a times a new release always has the old release bugs carried forward and those bug-fix really doesn't become included too soon.

I hate the idea of giving too frequent accesses to server for fixing bugs like these and there's nithing funky with the server setup and it's a standard cpanel installation which are quite popular these days.

Forum has become a dead place apparently for reporting it seems.

It just did bring my server down after marking few links 403 which i kept retrying to recheck all links from Admin interface. Admin at DC sent following comment:

Hello,
The server was up but had run out of memory. I did a hard reboot of the server and it is
up and running again. Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

Scary to download the fresh version and do an upgrade (if an upgrade of 2.2.0 to 2.2.0 is technically possible as it is not an upgrade and i think there installer would just quit saying that it's current version), as i see no official announcement that it is a Bug Which has been fixed.

I know getting some one to peep into the server gets things sorted out (not always though) but then giving frequent accesses is not an ideal situation either. We are a bit paranoid about security issues
