Links on admin page don't track URL changes
I have found that the links to 'static' and 'dynamic' on the admn page menu bar do not track changes I have made to the URLs in Setup > Paths and URLs.

Pages are built in http://www.mydomain.org/directory/
The admin pages are in http://tools.mydomain.org/cgi-bin/directory/
(that's for extra security -- the whole of http://tools.mydomain.org is password protected).

The page builds are OK, but the links on the admin menu bar point to a directory that does not exist: http://tools.mydomain.org/directory/

How can I get the admin pages to follow my edits in Setup?

(Edited here ...)

I just found out that my public cgi's are also not working. For example, the search URL is http://www.mydomain.org/cgi-bin/dir/search.cgi -- which is the correct URL, as set in 'Path and URL Settings'), but it returns an error (404 I think).

Hi,

Make sure you refresh your entire admin frames, otherwise the top links will not update.

If /cgi-bin/dir/search.cgi returns a 404, then it's not the correct URL. ;)

Cheers,

Alex

Yes, that was all I had to do!

Blush This is what the red face icon is for. The cgi's were all in the cgi bin of my brand new domain installation -- but I had forgotten to map the cgi-bin for Apache. Blush
