Lately when I have been adding links, occasionally, the category count is incremented, but the link does not go into the database! I have tried re-syncing, repairing... the category counts still show the link as having gone in, but a search of the database reveals no evidence of this link. These are user submitted links, and I have to add them manually

I cannot pin down the exact symptoms (yet). I do know the last submission which caused an error had a "/" character in the title.

Another point is, each time the error occurs, there have been a lot of editors on editing..... could this be causing a problem somewhere?
