Installer Confusion
The installer inserts cgi-bin into the build path and build url by default. This may be a little confusing for new users.

I think it should use the document root plus /lsql rather than the cgi bin

Possibly, but if you are installing from shell you don't have that information. Maybe try it if you are using the web, fall back if you are using shell (as then you most likely know where to put it).
