I'm totally new in the world of perl and SQL.
Installing Links SQL was not quiet as simple as I thought it would be, when I purchased the program.
Anyway, the server, on which my database is to be placed, should be ready to run Links SQL. When I run the setup.cgi, I get following error message:

Error: Could not connect to database. Reason: [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified (SQL-IM002)(DBD: db_login/SQLConnect err=-1)

ODBC is configured as described in Readme.MSSQL. My problem is, that I can't find a file to place the name of our DSN 'stiften', in order to make things work. By the way, syntax might also be a problem. Please, all you wise men out there, help.

just purchased LinksSql myself - Gossamer Threads completed the installation (first install is free)

have you asked them to do this - I'm sure they will be very helpful?

There is one problem in just that. The form, .../nph-install.cgi?product=LinksSQL2, does not give me any chance to pass the information about DSN to GT

Another aspect. If GT installs the program, I lose an opportunity to get a little bit wiser, and being an addict to knowledge, I have to leave that possibility as the last way out.
