I know this is a security safeguard but where do I look to stop the install script deleting install.cgi and install.dat because something normally goes wrong when installing (for me anyway Smile)...and if it does I have to reupload that massive 4MB install.dat file and on a 56k modem it takes light years.

Why not upload the .gz file, gunzip it, then tar-xvf it ?? The .tar file remains around.
