Hi all,

When using SQL 1.1 you used to be able to import the alternative categories from Links V2.

In SQL NG, when importing from links V2. All the alternative categories get imported as an extra field, which isnt really much good. Is there any way in which we can import the alternative categories into the categories table?

Hello,

I am having problems importing AltCategories from Links2.0.

All categories are imported correctly, "Low/Discount" will be imported as "Low Discount". But when a link has "Low/Discount" as an AltCategory it says the category is not there and has to be created. It then creates the category again but called "Low_Discount" with the underscore ignoring the previous "Low Discount" without the underscore.

I then have many duplicate categories with underscores in them.

Can you please fix this?

Yes I can confirm this. I also have duplicate categories ie Fan Clubs and Fan_Clubs.

Is there anyway we can rectify this on import Alex?

Ah, this was indeed a problem. The Links 2.x import for alternate categories was not converting underscores (_) into spaces ( ) as it should have been doing. Also, duplicate alternate categories were being imported if they were contained in the AltCategories field. Both of these bugs have been fixed.
