hopefully some can help here...

I am trying to stop people submitting links to top catergories, for example i have the following cats:

Sports (0)
American Football, Baseball, Bodybuilding, Hockey, Other, Soccer, Wrestling

I am wanting to stop people submitting links within the sports tops cat but have to submit it to the bottom cat for example Bodybuilding

You can try something like what I plan to use.

1) Create a new category column, call is addlink with yes/no option, where yes is default (as there are more sub categories and main/root)
2) In the menu, you can have the add link page link if the addlink is set to yes and not if it is set to no.
3) In addition to that, on the add listing page, you can do the same thing, if it is set to yes, display the form, else display your custom message.
