Hashed vs. Simple ( Again )

Hashed vs. Simple ( Again )
I’ve read most of the posts about Hashed vs. Simple and understand that Hashed is for large databases ( 20,000 ) but would like more clarification.

Is Hashed slower than Simple on smaller Databases.

Can you change from Simple to Hashed if your database is getting to large, if so can you still access the simple saved files.

If you are expecting a large database in 2 or 3 yrs would it be better to start off with Hashed.

I'm talking about image files in particular.

Thanks

Regards

Hi,

I think that HASHED uses a little bit more processing time, but nothing major to worry about.

Not as far as I know. You would need to manually go through each link, and update the images, so they could be saved in the correct folder (otherwise you would get dead images).

Indeed it would.
