Glinks 3.1.0 file permissions & suEXEC
I've just installed Glinks over an old LinksSQL 2.1.

I don't have suEXEC running on my server, and therefore everything runs as the default Apache user.

This worked fine in LSQL, but Glinks won't update any files; I'm assuming this is because it is not running as the respective user/owner of those files.

Any way around this other than enabling suEXEC?

Thanks,
Shaun

If you don't have suexec, then you should install glinks through the web, rather than from shell. That way all files are owned by the webserver's user.

Adrian,

Thanks for the tip - I hadn't thought about it that way.

I've recursively chown'd all the Glinks files to the default Apache User and Group and it's working fine now Smile

Thanks,
Shaun
