Can the time allowed before determining a 504 Gateway Timeout be modified?

I have a link that is valid when I browse to it, but it apparently takes just a little too long, so it tests as 504 Gateway Timeout... and therefore, isn't allowed in the database.

I can cheat and get it in there, but then Verify will always report it as bad, when it's really just... slow.
