I'm just trialing 2.x and wondered if this has already been reported?

I added a category > shopping (without a description) and wanted to update it to Shopping, but the following error was reported when I tried the update:

Unable to modify category: +A category with the name 'Shopping' already exists

Is the category name not case sensitive?

The only way around this seemed to be the removal of the original category, and adding a new one with the updated name. Would this cause a problem if I added a load of categories, and later found I needed to update the name of one?

I have the same problem.
Instead of deleting the category and then creating a new one, do the following:
1. Change the name from shopping to shopping1
2. Change the name from shopping1 to Shopping
