I have searched but no actual answers were found.

I have an imported set of links from Links 2.0 and therefore all the links have owner set as 'admin'.
I now have a links table full of email addresses and contact names from the import, but I can't send a customised email to them.

How do I send a customised email using only the links table information. i.e to the Contact name and Contact email and incorporating the links table information?

This would be a one off exercise to get people to register as the link owner on the new site.
I also have the claim link plugin installed, but this only lets me send an email when adding single new links.

And the answer here is to change your "admin" user to "Receive Mailings"=Yes.
This then allows you to send emails as required, if the owner is still set to "admin" after a Links 2.0 import.
