Detail Page Problem
Okay (I already search the forums...)
I am in the process of switching to a dedicated server from a shared host. I also am switching domain names.
I am using the detailed mode. I have successfully re-installed the LinksSql to the new server. I have it set up back in the Detailed page mode, and built the pages. The program is building the pages in the www.domain.com/Detailed directory okay, but the actual link to the detailed page, on the category page, still reflects the old domain name, not my new one??? Hope this is clear and is there any suggestions out there????

Thanks...

You've either got the domain hard-coded in your link.html, jump.cgi or in your configuration.

If you've done a re-install, odds are it's in your link.html.

Thanks, it was the link.html...

Next thing, once I get the new install finished, and everything up and running, how can I delete the files from the old virtual host. The admin isn't much of a problem to manually delete, but I have over 5000 categories/sub categories to delete also. I normally would just have the isp delete the whole account and start over, but I have some other programs that I want to keep running????

Well, if you install Links 2.04 over it, and set the fileman root to the root of your Links dir, then you can selectively delete the files.

If the files are set to your ID/Group you can remove them yourself, if not, you'll have to run the program above (as the server ID), or have "root" ability to change the permissions.

If you can remove them, the unix command is rm -R directory, where 'directory' is the top level of the directory that you want to remove. It's equivalent to the "deltree" command in Dos.
