Delete files in /admin/tmp

Is it safe to delete the files in /admin/tmp folder?

The last file is dated 7th Jan 2014 and the earliest is 12th June 2009. It currently contains 20MB of files.

Yes it's fine to delete them, The directory is used mainly during file uploads so my suggestion is to delete them at some time which users don't upload much files to avoid deleting something which is being uploaded at the same time.

Generally its a good idea to clean those folders out every so often. You get the Tmp files in there, as well as error dumps. I've seen a few sites where they are 500mb+, going back years.
