Change user that FileMan runs as?
Can I change the user which FileMan runs as? It runs as the same user as Apache, which means that many of the operations that I want to do are prohibited to me.

I'd like to be able to specify a different userid/password for it to run as, so that I have normal access to all my files on the server when using FileMan rather than ftp or telnet.

Thanks!

You wouldn't (shouldn't) be able to do that. You can install SuEXEC or such, as that will enable your scripts to run as your FTP user (thus evading problems where files are owned by 'root' or 'ssh' etc).

I think thats probably your best bet.
