I suddenly noticed a very significant delay in the building of the pages without changing anything in the setup. From one day to another the build time has increased about 10X the usual time that was necessary to build all the pages.
Where should I look to see if there is a problem?
The links in my database are not too many (less than 5000 and around 200 categories). Also it shouldn't be a resources problem because I run my own server.

Hmmm.....

First, make sure you are not being used a lot.

If it's your own server, do a ps and see what processes are running, or a top and see if anything is hogging resources.

Then, you might want to make sure debug is '0'

You might also want to check to see if your log files grew for some reason, that can impose a penalty for users using the server, which then cascades down to the build process because I/0 becomes bottlenecked.

Other than that... No ideas :)
