500 Internal Server Error on root directory
Didn't know where to post this so here...
Weird thing happening, on a new servers (Linux/Red Hat/Ensim) I am able to acces my site at home fine, with not problems. Once I go to work, which is on a different service provider, I get a 500 internal server error when trying to access the site. This is on the www.site.com/index.shtml, and not on scripts. Regardless of where I try to go on the site at work I get the error...
This is a new install, would this be due to the dns not being propagated yet, or is this a different problem??

A DNS error will not give a 500 error.

Something else is going on, if it works at home, but not at work. There has to be more to the story :)

Do you have a firewall at work that might be stripping off headers?

Possibly,
I'm on a military computer system at work...
How would a firewall strip headers??
and what would I do to fix it??

Don't know.

Can you get to the site from some other machine? A friends or public PC?

Once again, weird...
The sites propagated fully through DNS, and now I cas view sites...
I wouldn't have thought I would have got a 500 error though, I should have got a DNS error...
Good now, but still weird...
