spider plugin
Hello My spider is currently not active but I get this error:
Spider is currently not running or status port is temporarily unavailable (Connect error: localhost)
my database is localhost, why does the spider give me that display, is this a standard message, or a real error, and how to solve this????

Well, the message is not an error as you indicated don't have the spider running from Telnet. If you did, then the message: (Connect error: localhost) would indicate so.

What you see is just the standard default message, nothing to worry about.

thanks,
I read that you can configurate the following options:
1. status_port
2. status_host
3. spider_password
4. spider_out
5. log_format
6. skip_validation
7. max_title_length
8. max_description_length
9. max_data_length

but where can I configurate that???
I oipen the spider.pl in the shell, but no results
i says:
Starting Spider
and then Spider Daemonized.

I sthere something I do wrong, who can give me suggestions?

Plugins-->plugin Manager ---> edit

This is something people forget. It's also why in my plug-ins I put the "edit" link in the side menu -- even though it's automatically added in this area.

hmm thank you, I see.
I have localhost as status_host connection.
and status_port as 7890 is this normally right???
the spider is currently not active and it says a (Connect error: localhost) and spider staus daemonized in the shell.
does this occur when nothins is available in the spider database/system???
