Hello!
My search via search.cgi doesn't deliver the result I expect. It delivers no result although a query with myslman shows the correct outcome.
Explanation:
I created a new field 'KGST' in the Table 'Category' via admin.cgi and set the search weight to '1'. Then I reindexed the database. KGST is a text field and I filled in values like this: '33.1.1.1', '34.1'. '43.1.1.2', '72.1.2'.
The search form via the search.cgi script shows 'no results' when I tried searching for '33.1.1.1' or the other values that exists in the database. With mysqlman I get the correct result set. Now I tried to fill other values in the field 'KGST', e.g. 'ryzli'. This was found with search.cgi, so I suppose the fault is because of the dots in the values.
Is there any filter in search.cgi that manipulates the query or must I use an escape sequence for getting the result?
Many greetings
Peter
