I was thinking about changing the password handling in Links and found the following:
http://search.cpan.org/.../Crypt/SaltedHash.pm
Played around with it a little and using SHA-384 seems quite secure in my opinion.
The module is simple but looks nice.
Do you think using that module is a smart approach?

Hi,

Looks secure enough. TBH, anything is more secure than clear-text passwords (I've moved over to using social media logins on my own sites, as they are more secure than storing passwords and managing the user-base yourself)
