Yahoo Subcats
just installed Yahoo Subcats plugin, posted a couple of sub cats to see how they looked, they are being listed like this:

Category Name (3)
subcat1,subcat2,subcat3

"no spaces" between subcat names, would like them to read:

Category Name (3)
subcat1, subcat2, subcat3

Also, read in the forum somewhere about these being listed in alphabetical order, can't find the post / answer

Can anybody help, please?

did a search for "how to edit plugins"

saw a post from "Pugdog" with this info

......."The next step is to look at the existing plugins. Use the 'edit' feature to look at the install.pm to see how things are installed and set up......

If I go to admin/plugins/plugin manager I can see the plugin name + edit but this brings up "plugin details"

+ uninstall

Do I have to uninstall / edit / install?

once you've installed it, look in the admin > plugins folder for YahooSubcats.pm - open that up and do a search for that particular piece of code.

cheers!

whatever way you're comfortable with!

I either telnet to the file and work on it directly, or just ftp an altered version up to the server.

The end result is you want to alter that piece of code in that file.

ok, edited the code also added the line for sorting the subcats in alphabetical order

homepage now looks like ok:

1st-category
A-subcat
, B-subcat, C-subcat

if I go to "1st-category" page - page + subcats order is like this - (not alphabetical):

B-subcat (2) "this-represent-spaces-across-page" A-subcat (4)
B-subcatdescription etc............"spaces-spaces" A-subcatdescription etc......

C-subcat (3)
C-subcatdescription etc.........

any ideas?

Probably you placed the space into a loop. That's why there are so much spaces... Just an idea.
