I'm finally able to type for more than a few minutes at a time. Still not back to speed. Not sure why the pain came back so bad in that wrist.
Anyway, the plan is this:
1) Modify the Logo/Graphic upload to work with the FILETYPE field.
2) Convert the MultiUp to do the same
3) Get back on shedule where possible.
So, what will happen, is:
1) if I can figure out how to call the create filetype field routines, when you give your new logo field a name, it will create the file field in the Links record, and add two or three performance flags to it as well. In the created logo-file table, all the information about the logo will be kept. All this will be accessible from inside the templates via loop constructs and called functions. No code changes will be necessary. It will all be in the templates.
I only have a couple of days work, a few hours (relatively) to do this, but I can only work a short period at a time still. Worst that happens, is you will have to create the file-type field FIRST, then install the plugin, but I would still like to be able to do it all during the install.
Everything is there already (except tying into the new file-type functions). I just have to set up a new "clean" site, run the install a few times to make sure it works, do the final tweaking of the template and functions, and it's ready.
The multi-up should follow quickly, as it's mostly done, and it looks like the new routines will simplify some of the stuff that was still left to be done.
