I have installed the spider plugin without errors. now I do not find any link more if if i saerch.the search results are always zero!
if i go to Spider Status admin panel : Spider is currently not running or status port is temporarily unavailable (Connect error: localhost)
does the spider run?
It is to be understood also heavily everything! well if someone would understand here German!!!!

But how i solve the problem:

Spider Dispatch
This screen allows you to view and change the status of the Spider

Spider is currently not running or status port is temporarily unavailable (Connect error: localhost)

If i starting Spider with Telnet then the Spider Daemonized.
hmmm. pugdog write: Plugins-->plugin Manager ---> edit

This is something people forget. It's also why in my plug-ins I put the "edit" link in the side menu -- even though it's automatically added in this area.

But : what here can I modify?

Hi,

I don't understand German, but there is more to the Spider than just running it. You need to do the mapping of fields, and then you need to install the codes to pass through to the search if the local search fails. I think Alex posted a patch to allow this to pass to the spider in every case.

You also need to "Validate" the links in the spider admin area.

I have so much on my plate at this time, I haven't been able to get the spider and banner system working. Once I get this first version of the Review program out, I will have enough parts to set up a "test" site that will hopefully answer the questions most people are having.
