Greetings!

I reject quite a few submitted links because they don't fit the criteria (that is well published!). There are a number of reasons why the links are rejected. Unfortunately the 'stock standard' rejection email (which I have customized), gives a number of reasons. I always get a reply back - which one fits me?

Is there any way alternate rejection emails could be sent. I was thinking maybe creating a new field in the Table called 'Rejection Reason' and having a 'select box' in the Admin area where I could indicate the reason for rejection. I imagine the easiest way would be to then use <%if Rejection_Reason eq 'abc'%> message here <%endif%> could then be placed in the email-del.txt file. Would this work?

What table would I put this in - bearing in mind that I don't really want to keep the reason recorded in the database anywhere - I would want it deleted together with the 'rejected link'.

Is this possible? ..... or is there an easier way?

In my rejection emails, I just provide a link to a pagemaker page which tries to explain a little more about possible rejection reasons;

Maybe this is another simpler solution?

I've thought of that - the problem is the email doesn't state the 'specific' reason eg. 'already listed', 'unsuitable content', 'doesn't fit theme' etc. The criteria is spelt out very clearly before they submit, it just seems that some get confused when they get an email that they have been rejected for 'one or more of the following reasons'.

We are talking about rejected submissions!

You can always edit the email before rejecting the email. The text box below the actions is what actually gets emailed to the user, so if you delete the list of reasons and put the real reason, they'll get that.

I am trying to save some time .... and manual labour . I get quite a few and it becomes a little tedious.
