For some reason my spider install is not working, I am getting the following error:

"Error running installation code: GT::Session::TempTable (31937): Unknown
method 'install' called at (eval 1) line 240. (in cleanup) Can't call method
"insert" on an undefined value at
/home/aaasearch/public_html/kaazoocom/cgi-bin/linkssql2/admin/GT/Session/SQL
.pm line 164."

Anyone have any idea why this is happening? I also noticed that on the install page for some reason the Spider version is listed as 0.001 instead of 1.0.

Any ideas?

I was able to install the spider, and my version is 0.001. as well.

Did you try uninstalling it, then installing it again? Were any error messages displayed?

The error message I showed previously was the only error message shown in the plugin manager (I have <%environment%> turned on, but for some reason it is not working in this case). I have tried deleting and re-installing, this didn't do anything.

I get the tar file ok, it just won't install. Kind of frustrating, I want to get this up and running. =)

Could this error be created by one of the following reasons?:

1. The database user will require create table privileges.
2. The permissions on the directory files must be set as defined in the Links SQL Readme.
3. The GT library directories must be writable by the webuser.

I am pretty sure I have #2,3 covered, but not so sure about #1. How do I make sure that I have create table privileges? If this is not set properly, can I create the tables manually with MySQLMan?

Well, if you can log in and create tables with the username you gave to links, then it has create table priveleges. ie: if links set itself up, and created it's own tables, then that is set right.

Actually, if I remember correctly, when I installed Links SQL 2.0, I am pretty sure it asked me to create the table before I installed it.

Is there any tech support poking around? Been waiting since Friday. =(

I was able to download the spider earlier today and got the same error message when I tried to install.

I emailed support right after I discovered this problem and haven't heard anything yet. :(

My question: Does anyone know of a solution to this yet?

If anyone else has this problem, he let me know that it may be that I need to upgrade my version of Links SQL. (It is 2.0.1) I will try that to see if it helps

I think the lack of responses by support is due to the easter period - they are allowed a few days off over easter I reckon for all their work...

Yes, I ordered the spider Friday, and received a message that the order desk was closed until Monday. I did get my registration number on Monday, but didn't get far after I ran into the error.

To follow-up on a solution for anyone else with this problem: I have just upgraded to 2.0.3, and I was able to install the spider with no problems.
