I think the main reason it can't work with static would be
- What if the cost per CPC changes.
- What if the advertiser runs out of money.
- I assume there might be few more... but I am out of reasons now ..
Now possible solution to this
- I assume you want static mode from the point of view of search enignes, right? then why not setup a .js file on every static page that will refresh(lets say 5 sec time frame) the page to dynamic mode, so search engines can see the pages too and end user will also see it in dynamic view, so no problem there :)
- Now if you don't like the .js idea.. then I believe your best bet would be to get Andy's "Cron" plugin that can rebuild your directory as specified, but still you are running into chance of giving your clients atleast some free clicks :)
I believe there might be other ideas.. but these are two from the top of my head. :)
