It could very simply be done as the information is there - it's just a matter of adjusting templates.

vBulletin's search has an option to view the results by thread or by post. If you choose the 'by post' option, the results display the first few lines of the message. It's extremely useful. It's also nice, though, to get the results by thread and I'd suggest that GT consider the option. It should also be possible to search by date, for example, to get all the messages posted in the last x number of days.

It's already in there:

Show posts from the last: Show all posts 8 hours 24 hours 3 days 1 week 2 weeks 3 weeks 1 month 3 months 6 months 1 year 2 years

or do you mean a blank box that user can enter in the days?

Yes, I was thinking of a box in which people could enter a date, but it's not a big deal with other options.
