It seems that if I validate a user before they confirm their email address that they are unable to login even if I set there status to 'registered,' I end up having to recreate the user.

Also is it possible to have the confirmation link in the email be shorter. Some peole's browsers break apart the link and they are unable to click on the link and are not skilled enough to cut and paste it into their browser.
