Is it that on FireFox browser, the redirection to the message posted does not take place?

I have been seeing it not happening...

Hi.

Immediately after posting a reply/message ... that 5 second pause and then redirect to post never takes place ie after submitting this reply, i am never taken to the posted reply ... i have to click on the link.

It doesn't refresh to forum.

Hey Alex,

HyperTherm asked me to test this too. When making a new post I was redirecting back to the thread just fine until I switched to non-cookie based sessions. After making a post with url based session it would not redirect to the post. After switching back to cookie based session, it no longer redirects either. I'll see if going directly back to post works...

This looks to be a Firefox bug. I cannot reproduce this same behavior in IE 6.whatever from XP SP2.

Chaz is right about this being a Firefox bug:

Apparently, any window that has ever had an editable field (i.e. Gossamer Forum's advanced editor) will no longer respect meta refresh tags. As a workaround in the mean time, you could consider using the "Return directly to forum view" setting in your display profile.

Great that they have a open to public Bugzilla, otherwise this would always had remained a never ending mystery for everyone or a "closely guarded secret known to developers" perhaps.

Oh i just posted that as i did not find it taking me back to where intended. Have been just doing that extra click to be where i want to be. Perhaps worth the effort. :)
