i had use apache 1.3.19 and mod_perl 1.29 to make gforum work, but is not faster than speedy

but, my new server can't install mod_perl and speedy both?

how to config mod_perl to make gforum work faster more??

please help!

my server is intel p4 1.8G cpu X 2, 1G mem, ibm scsi hardisk 36G X3, 1000M netcard

install Redhat enterprise linux ad server 3.0 update 2
it's only run www / mysql
mysql is 4.018 with query-cache

This isn't a simple question unfortunately. Configuring and optimizing mod_perl can be quite involved. You should make sure at a minimum you have a dual apache setup as described:

http://perl.apache.org/.../guide/strategy.html

with one mod_perl server and a frontend server proxying mod_perl requests.

Our hosting platform comes with this all configured and setup. You just turn on mod_perl from the admin area, and you get a second mod_perl server running that is monitored. Let me know if you want more info on this.
