Hi,

I'm trying to install Gossamer Forum 1.2.0 on a shared unix server.

Installation script seems to run OK as far as this line:

Unarchiving (644) /home/g/e/gerontius/public_html/cgi-bin/admin/GT/SpellCheck/acorrect.txt

Then nothing. Should something else happen now?

There's nothing in the server error log.

Yeah, there's quite a bit after the acorrect.txt file. After all the files are extracted, you will get a "Gossamer Forum is now unarchived" confirmation screen with a link to the admin panel.

It could be a ulimit problem, where the process limits are killing the script. Do you have shell access on the server? You could try a shell installation, which might give you an error message that might not show up in the error log.
